There are places that are hiring. Take a look at the Sunday newspaper. Also look at http://www.craigslist and http://www.careerbuilder.com.

Good luck. I FINALLY got a job after a year of looking. I have a solid resume and I struggled to find a job. If you don't have a degree you will struggle. My suggestion is to apply for anything you have the slightest chance at qualifying for. Look for part time jobs and be willing to sacrifice what you think your ideal salary is. Try craigslist, Monster, Hotjobs, carrer builder and the Bee. Shoot your resume out to any place you can. Try and find a job fast because the longer you are out of work the harder it will be for you to find work.

I am kind of thinking that Pinky may have been to picky. I was laid off on September 2nd, and started working at a new job on September 29th. There are jobs out there, you just have to be willing to sacrifice. I am currently making about $16,000 less a year than my old job, but still making more than unemployment. Good luck to you.

Good Day Sacramento (KMAX-TV) has these convention things where you go make a video resume, a paper resume, and a profile on the internet with both resumes all for free. All this information is then accessible by potential employers and you have a chance of getting hired. The next event is at: The Folsom Telegraph Wednesday, March 11, 2009 5-10 a.m. 12755 Folsom Blvd. Folsom, CA 95630 But why only use one resource like this...look at Monster, Career Builder, etc.

Any work you do and earn money is a Job. Your options are limited because the job market is flooded with applicants. Time to be inventive, My suggestions to you: Make up fliers and pass them around in your neighborhood. Offer to do whatever work it is you want to do, such as : Computer work, Babysit, Clean Garages, Organize Cupboards, File Papers, Wash Cars, Mow Lawns, Pull Weeds, Tutor the neighbors kids, wash Dogs, Dog sit, Clean the Pool, Assist the elderly, whatever... Post first whatever it is you want to do or are good at ... However, You should keep your options open and make a decision after the persons call you instead of not giving them many reasons to call. Your neighbors who might hire you do not have to be residents, they might be local businesses that need a little job done. Do not be afraid to ask and apply. You won't get a job if you don't try.

Nah, a majority of jobs are usually scams in Sacramento. I have applied like crazy during this economic depression and found nothing. There might be a silver lining because on Wednesday, March 11th from 10 a.m.--2 p.m. there will be a job fair held at the Scottish Rite Temple located at 6151 H Street. It will be held tomorrow. There is no guarantee you will find a job but it doesn't hurt to try them out.
